It's Been 30 Days Since I've had Pizza, Please Send Help

So welcome to The Slice Czar!  As I write this my right ankle is currently encased in a cast, courtesy of a Trimalleolar fracture and a fractured fibula I suffered the week before Christmas.  So now I have a 8 inch metal rod in my leg, multiple screws in my ankle and leg, (currently) over 3 thousand dollars of medical debt and worst of all no Pizza.

Now I love my folks, and it was super awesome of them to convert their dinning room into a living space so I could avoid having to climb the flights of rickety, uneven stairs to my place. But if I'm allowed a single knowingly frivolous complaint it's that their place is in some bizarre no man's land where no pizza joint, either mega-chain or local, will deliver to me.  Now yes I could wheedle my friends or family to go out and get some for me, but that just seems like taking advantage of people; they've done so much for me already.

So I've made myself a compromise, possibly the closest thing to a New Years resolution that I would ever dare make:  Once I'm back on my own two feet I'm going to make up for lost pizza eating time.  There are so many Pizza places in my area and I tend to stick to stick to my favorites; so why not use this as a chance to explore strange new pizza joints, to boldly eat pizza where I never have before. I'll also hit up my favorites as well, no sense in not hitting up the classics.  In then end hopefully you'll be entertained by my pizza adventures, some good pizza joints will get some positive press and most importantly I'll get some good pizza in my belly!

As to what qualifies as good Pizza, well we'll get to that in another post, I've got some time on my hands.
